Enthusiasts rate the Basis standard luminaire on account of its stringent, architectural formal language. However, its light output is also considerable: The flat shape of the luminaire's head casts the light over a very wide area of the ceiling, with the ceiling itself serving as the reflector. Equipped with a 400-Watt halogen bulb, Basis is a high-output uplighter, and can be positioned anywhere.
