The fan is a genuine company classic: It was designed way back in the 1980s and on account of its successful shape and functionality has been a firm favorite ever since. The straight blades are made of a fine steel frame into which transparent foil is inserted, such that though they appear unusually weightless they are in fact highly efficient. Depending on the season the fan can be used to produce either hot or cold air: In summer the rapidly circulating air has a cooling effect, whereas in winter the gentle motion helps circulate the warm air. An external variable transformer can be used to select one of three speeds.
